During an event appearance today, a Kareena Kapoor told reporters that she feels directors can approach her for roles irrespective of her pregnancy.
Earlier, rumour mills were abuzz about Kareena becoming the face of Adhuna Bhabani’s chain of salons, B:Blunt. The duo finally put the rumours to rest and made an official announcement pertaining to the collaboration at an event at Taj Lands End in Bandra today afternoon.
One of the highlights of the event was when a reporter asked Kareena about director Rohit Shetty’s comment, wherein he had claimed that he found it ‘odd’ to approach the actress for Golmaal 4 because she was pregnant. Kareena has played pivotal roles in the last two films of the franchise.
“It would have been easy to call her and tell her to do the film. She would have said, ‘Let’s do it’. But I can’t do that. I can’t talk to her (as she is pregnant) to do it (Golmaal 4). It’s odd. But let’s see we will do a song or something with her,” Shetty had said.
But Kareena gave a fitting reply to the director, stating, “Those who have a role for me they will come to me. Pregnant or not. I don’t think there is anything wrong in that. Why should he be scared? I should be scared of him.”
When asked about the director’s proposal to do an item number in Golmaal 4, Kareena shot it down saying, “That is not going to happen. I am not even thinking of that.”
The ‘Udta Punjab’ actress was also asked if she would be showing off her baby bump in her next project, Veere Di Wedding, to which she proudly replied, “Whichever role I do, I will be in my current state and that is very, very normal. I am not going to hide anything. I am very proud of the phase that I am in. Whichever film I do, will see me the way I am.”
Since it was a ‘B:Blunt’ event, Kareena was asked who has the best hair in the industry. Initially, she played it safe by naming Shah Rukh Khan. But when probed about which ‘actress’ had the best hair, she candidly replied, “All actresses use hair extensions. I know the reality. Ask me about it.”Back to latest news
