1. Earlier this week, the news of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan replacing Arijit Singh for crooning to the emotional track in ‘Sultan’ made headlines after it was confirmed that Salman Khan was in no mood to accept the latter’s apology.
2. Despite Arijit trying his best to seek forgiveness from the ‘Kick’ star, Sultan’s makers and Salman Khan approached Rahat Fateh Ali Khan to sing ‘Jag Ghumiya’.
3. Now sources close to the project have revealed that Rahat’s version has been finalised for the Salman Khan starrer sports drama. The makers and the actor also took a unanimous decision to drop Arijit Singh’s version of the song.
4. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan made a low-key 2 day visit to India last week, wherein he recorded the song at the Yash Raj Studios and flew back to his home country, Pakistan.
5. The makers also claimed that since ‘Jag Ghumiya’ is an emotional song, they were always keen on using Rahat Fateh Ali’s soulful voice for it. The highly anticipated ‘Sultan’ also stars Anushka Sharma and is slated for a July 6 release.
