The first look of India’s most-watched reality television show Bigg Boss, now it in its tenth season, was revealed today.

Salman Khan, who has been associated with the show for the last few years, is set to host the show’s upcoming season as well and features as an astronaut in the promo.

In the half a minute clip, the ‘Sultan’ actor talks about how history will be rewritten in the show’s upcoming season as, apart from being bigger and better than the previous seasons, it will be different.

For the first time, the show will feature common men and women as contestants.

Salman’s monologue is, “Jab chand par dikha insaan pehli baar ya ande se nikli murgi pehli baar, create hus itihaas. Ab aam public aa rahi hai pehli baar in Bigg Boss to create history but kya hoga that is the mystery. Bigg Boss season 10 with common women and men.”

Colors CEO Raj Nayak shared the promo video on his micro-blogging account today.

The show will follow a slightly theme now that regular people are set to get locked in the house. The contestants were reportedly shortlisted via an audition process that began after the culmination of Season 9.

A source also told a leading Bollywood portal, “Salman will be in the avatar of a common man. No horns, airline props whatever. He will be asking various people right from a milkman, rickshaw-wala, housewife, working professional as to whom do they want to see inside the house. The superstar will also be in a casual look.”

The actor’s space suit was a creation of his favourite designer Ashley Rebello. According to one report, the actor was really kicked about the promo shoot as it was the first time he was playing an astronaut on screen, something no Bollywood actor has done. Although Aamir will soon step into an astronaut’s suit for Rakesh Sharma’s biopic.

The team is currently erecting the set in Lonavala, which will house the participants. A separate structure is also being created for Salman, who will be staying on location for the weekend shoots. The actor’s weekend ‘chalet’ will also feature a verandah and a gym.

While we know that the show will be shot over a four month period, the premier date has not been revealed till now.
