South Bombay’s Laxmidas Raoji Terasi Bhatia Garden dons a new look after 2 years

After a much-needed renovation and gardening work of South Bombay’s Laxmidas Raoji Terasi Bhatia Garden, it was thrown open to locals earlier this week post two years.

Locals residing near CST station, Fort and Bora Bazaar area are delighted over the garden’s re-opening as they finally have a place to carry out recreational activities.

The newly renovated garden which boasts sporting area for children, sitting corners, a fountain and open-gym installations, is already receiving much love from its visitors. It also has 30-40 different types of plants adding to its greenery.

The garden is currently open only for nine hours split as 5 hours in the morning and 4 hours in the evening. Locals have requested the Garden Cell of the civic department to reconsider the timings and give access to it for more than 12 hours a day.
