35-year-old shot dead at Dadar, shooter absconding
An unidentified person shot a 35-year-old man in Mumbai’s Dadar area on Friday morning. The victim succumbed to the injuries later.
According to officials, Manoj Mourya was shot from behind by an unidentified person around 7:30 am today morning. The incident took place near the flower market area at Senapati Bapat Road in Dadar West.
Mourya was rushed to the civic-run KEM hospital in Parel following the attack. He succumbed to the bullet wound injuries at the hospital.
The shooter managed to flee the spot after firing at Mourya.
Police have launched a manhunt to nab the culprit. They are also in the process of acquiring footage from CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity to trace him.
The yet to be identified assailant has been booked under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code and further probe is underway.
