Fire breaks out at residential building on Ghodbunder Road, Thane
The fire, which broke out around 05:45 am at Rutu Estate on Ghodbunder road, did not result in any casualties
A massive fire broke out at a residential building in Thane’s Patlipada area early morning on Saturday.
According to reports, the incident took place at around 05:45 am at Rutu Estate, located on Ghodbunder road in Thane West.
After authorities were notified, one fire tender reached the spot with rescue vehicles and a water tanker. During the operation, around 22 people were evacuated safely by the Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) and fire brigade officials.
The fire has been doused as of publishing this report and no injuries or casualty has been reported so far.
“MSEDC official, RDMC and fire brigade are sent on site with one fire engine, two rescue vehicle, and one water tanker. There has been no injury or casualty and the situation is under control,” a civic official was quoted as saying.
The cause of fire, however, is not yet known.
