Mulund businessman shoots self to death with licensed revolver

A 54-year-old businessman from Mulund allegedly committed suicide by shooting self with his licensed revolver during the wee hours of Monday.
According to officials, Satnam Singh Boparai committed suicide at his house at around 12:30 am today. He was a resident of Willow Twin Towers, located near Vasant Gardens in Mulund (West).
Following the incident, the relatives rushed him to nearby Fortis hospital. But Singh was declared dead before admission.
His body was later sent to Rajawadi Hospital for a post-mortem.
Mulund Police, meanwhile, have registered an accidental death report (ADR) in the matter and managed to recover the revolver used by Singh, along with an empty cartridge and five other rounds from his home.
A probe to ascertain what led the businessman, who reportedly owns Marshal Security and Hotel Shreya, to take the extreme step is underway.
