11-year-old Thane girl molested in her building’s lobby

1. Earlier this week, a 11-year-old girl was molested by an unidentified man while she was playing in the lobby of her building.
2. The minor was playing on the 10th floor lobby of the building when an unidentified man came out of the lift and molested her. The incident occurred during evening at Jay Surya Tower in Chandanwadi, Thane.
3. The girl later complained about the incident to her parents. After listening to their daughter’s plight, the parents rushed to Naupada police station to register a complaint.
4. A complaint under section 354 (molestation) of the Indian Penal Code and under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act has been registered against the unidentified man.
5. Meanwhile, the cops are examining the CCTV footage of the building in order to identify the man.
