Bombay High Court allows BCCI to hold May 1 IPL match in Pune
During the second hearing of the PIL against IPL matches being held in drought-hit Maharashtra, the Bombay High Court on April 14 had ordered the BCCI to shift all IPL matches post April 30 from the state.
This court order affected 13 matches, including the final, eliminator and one qualifier match which were scheduled to be held in Maharashtra.
Yesterday, the BCCI had filed a request to the High Court to allow the match between IPL teams Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Supergiants on May 1 in Pune, to continue as planned.
After hearing the matter today, the Bombay High Court granted BCCI the permission to hold the match as scheduled.
The match will be played at MCA Stadium, Pune on May 1.
