A fire broke out in a plush residential tower in Malad on Wednesday evening. Fire engines have been alerted and are currently on the spot.

The fire at the top floor of 23-storey Rushi Heights was reported around 5:30 pm today, following which the floor was evacuated. The building is located near Valentine Apartments at Malad (East).

According to preliminary information, the fire is currently confined to the top floor of the building. However, details about the cause of fire and casualties are awaited.

Further details are awaited.

Update (6:40 pm): Fire has been doused. No casualties have been reported.

Note: The report was added immediately after the incident. It will be updated as and when more information becomes available.
