Highlights of WR’s new timetable that comes into effect from Nov 1

The new timetable for Western Railway’s (WR) suburban division will come into effect from Thursday, November 1. The new timetable entails the addition and extension of several suburban services, in addition to many other changes.

Highlights of WR’s new timetable:

* A total of 10 new services will be introduced and 122 services will be extended in Mumbai suburban section from tomorrow.

* With the addition, the total number of services plying on Mumbai suburban section will increase from 1355 to 1365, including the 110 services on Harbour line.

* Out of four new services in the Down direction, two fast suburban services are from Churchgate to Virar, one fast suburban service from Churchgate to Dahanu Road and one slow suburban service from Virar to Dahanu Road station.

* Out of six new services in the Up direction, two fast suburban services are from Virar to Churchgate, two slow suburban services from Dahanu Road to Virar and two slow suburban services are from Virar to Borivali and from Bhayander to Andheri station.

* A total of 122 services have been extended. It includes 66 services in Down and 56 services in Up direction.

* Train number 93026 (Dahanu Road-Churchgate) which departs from Dahanu Road at 5:35 pm has been postponed by 15 minutes and will now depart from Dahanu Road at 5.50 pm.

* Train number 93028 (Dahanu Road-Churchgate) which departs from Dahanu Road at 6.55 pm has been postponed by 15 minutes and will now depart from Dahanu Road at 7.10 pm.

* Mode of 56 services have been changed.

* 26 suburban services have been sped up.

* AC local has been given additional halts at Marine Lines, Charni Road, Grant Road, Dahisar, Mira Road, Naigaon and Nalasopara stations in a bid to improve occupancy.

* Ladies Special: Churchgate-Bhayandar local which departs from Churchgate at 6.51 pm has been extended to Virar. In the Up direction, the ladies special presently departing from Bhayander will now originate from Virar at 08.44 am.

* Ladies Special: Vasai Road-Churchgate local which departs at 09.56 am from Vasai Road, will now originate from Virar and will depart at 09.47 am.
