Hrithik Roshan approaches cyber-crime cell to nail e-mail imposter
Bollywood Actor Hrithik Roshan has filed a FIR at BKC’s cyber-crime division against an unknown person who gained access to his email address and exchanged emails with actress Kangana Ranaut.
The 42-year-old actor is the complainant in the case and not his legal representative. A case under relevant sections of Information Technology Act for identity theft and impersonation has been registered against the culprit.
An officer said the content of the FIR is similar to that of Roshan’s previous complaint. On December 12, 2014, Hrithik had first complained to the cyber crime division about an unknown person using the email-id [email protected] and talking to his fans.
The actor’s lawyer followed up with the cyber cell about this complaint on March 5 and requested them to find out who the impostor is.
Hrithik’s lawyers will continue to pursue the matter with the cyber-crime division, as this forms an integral part of the legal battle between Hrithik and Kangana.
The actor in his complaint has stated that he has and uses just one personal e-mail ID ‘hroshan@mac. com’ for all his communication. He choose to file a complaint after he was informed that some unknown person is using the [email protected] and is posing as Hrithik Roshan before the public.
Roshan’s father, Rakesh Roshan too visited the cyber police station and requested police to trace the accused.
