Major fire breaks out at printing press at Indian Compound in Bhiwandi
A major fire broke out at a printing press located inside the Indian Compound in Bhiwandi on Saturday afternoon.
According to preliminary information, the blaze started around 1:30 pm at the godown used by Leon Labels printing press. The premises is located at Indian Compound at Mankoli Naka on Dapoda Road in Bhiwandi city.
Sources claim that the chemicals used for printing were stored inside the premises at the time, which immediately caught fire and the blaze spread throughout the godown.
Fire department was alerted about the incident and eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot. Firefighting is underway.
The exact cause of fire is still unknown.
There are reports of two workers suffering burn injuries during the incident. However, the reports have not been confirmed.
