Std V kid stabs brother-in-law for beating his sister in Vasai

1. A 10-year-old boy stabbed and killed his brother-in-law at the latter’s Vasai residence on Sunday for beating his sister.

2. The victim, who was in an inebriated state, was allegedly beating his wife when the wife’s brother decided to intervene. The 10-year-old stayed with the couple.

3. When the minor tried to stop his brother-in-law, it enraged him to a point where he started assaulting the minor instead. In a beaten state, the minor picked up a knife that was lying around the house and stabbed the victim in his stomach.

4. The victim, who was bleeding profusely, was rushed to a nearby hospital. But, due to the massive loss of blood, succumbed to his injuries around 8:30 PM.

5. Later, the minor was taken into custody by the Manickpur police. In a statement to the police, the victim’s wife explained that her brother was only trying to protect her and picked up the knife in self defence. She also stated that he had no intention of killing her husband.
