TV actor booked for assaulting cop in Bandra, crashing into 7 vehicles in Santacruz
TV actor Ruhi Shaileshkumar Singh has been booked for assaulting a public servant and ramming her car into seven vehicles in Mumbai’s Santacruz area during the wee hours of Monday.
According to reports, the series of events that led to the FIRs began around 2 am when the actor and her two male friends, Rajesh and Rahul, arrived at KFC outlet on Linking Road, Bandra with the intention of using the restroom.
Since the outlet had shut, the staffers did not allow them inside the premises. Soon, an argument ensued between the parties and the KFC staff alerted the police control room.
When the cops arrived, Ruhi and her friends allegedly got into an altercation with them. During the commotion, one official was assaulted by the trio.
Soon after, the accused left the premises and drove towards Santacruz, with Ruhi at the wheel. However, before they could reach their destination, the actor rammed her speeding car into at least seven vehicles, including four two-wheelers and three cars.
However, no one was injured.
Khar police subsequently registered a case against the actor and her friends for assaulting a public servant. Further, since the actor was believed to be driving in an inebriated state, Santacruz police booked her for rash and drunk driving.
As of publishing this report, police have arrested the two male friends and sent a notice to Ruhi.
Meanwhile, a viral video of the actor following the crash has emerged on social media. In the video, Ruhi has accused a cop – whose badge she managed to snatch – of slapping her.
” Aapke officer ne mara. Bahut Marathi Manoos hain na tu, le shoot kar aur upload karna,” she is heard saying in the video.
