Following a dispute between two women, an enraged 20-year-old climbed up three floors of a residential building in Bhayander and broke the sliding window with a sword.
The incident took place on Tuesday evening at a building in Planetaria Complex in Bhayander West.
According to preliminary information, a heated argument broke out between a woman residing in Flat 304 of the building and the youth’s mother, during which the latter was allegedly insulted.
In a bid to take revenge from the flat owner, the youth, Digvijay Singh Jodha, grabbed a sword and climbed three floors with the support of the building’s outer wall and gallery extensions.
Then, in a fit of rage, he repeatedly slammed the window with the sword until it was shattered. Fortunately, neither Jodha nor the residents were injured during the incident.
Following the incident, Navghar police took Jodha into custody and booked him under Arms Act and section 342 of the Indian Penal code.
Jodha later told cops that the woman from the building had slapped his mother, for which he wanted to take revenge.
Bystanders even recorded a video of Jodha climbing the building and breaking the window. The video has also been shared with the police officials.
