Visuals: Here’s what Mumbai witnessed during Bharat Bandh
The Rahul Gandhi-led Indian National Congress (INC) called for a nationwide protest on Monday to protest against the recent hike in fuel prices.
In Mumbai, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), along with a dozen other smaller factions, joined Congress in its attempt to pull up the Narendra Modi-led central government for the recent hikes.
Incidentally, the price of petrol and diesel was hiked by Rs 0.23, to Rs 88.12 and Rs 77.32 per litre respectively, in Mumbai on the day of the bandh.
