Want to get your life-sized mannequin installed in last DC Mumbai local?
Central Railway (CR) for sure has no dearth of inane ideas. After the plan to rake in money by selling Rs 10,000 tickets for the last ride in the 1,500-volt Direct Current (DC) train proved to be a dud, CR has come up with another idea to cash in on this opportunity.
Now, the CR has decided to offer people a chance to get their life-sized mannequins made by paying a certain price.
The mannequins will then be placed in the train coaches that will be up for public display at P D’Mello road at CST, Wadi Bunder, Thane and the National Rail Museum in Delhi.
While the authorities have not decided the amount they will charge, they have made up their mind to create space for 900 mannequins inside these coaches.
Sources say the CR authorities will be approaching industrialists and celebrities across various fields with the offer.
The mannequins are likely to be made by students of JJ School of Architecture.
