Cops arrest engineer for hacking Lalu Prasad’s Facebook account
Bihar Police have arrested an engineering student for hacking the Facebook profile and email account of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad.
The accused, Divyanshu Kumar, was nabbed from Vaishali district by the Economic Offences Unit of Bihar Police. Officials also managed to recover two mobile phones that were used to hack the RJD chief’s account.
A student of Patna Sahib Engineering College, Kumar used a SIM card registered under the name of Vijay Singh – a resident of Saudi Arabia, to orchestrate the hack.
On the arrest, IG, EOU, JS Gangwar said, “He hacked the Facebook page twice on March 8 and 11 and posted objectionable comments on it.”
RJD chief’s son and Deputy CM Tejashwi Prasad Yadav had lodged an FIR with the Sachivalaya police station in Patna after he had learnt about the hack.
