Reactions: Twinkle Khanna’s joke on Sri Sri Ravi Shankar backfires, gets trolled and deletes tweet
Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar made headlines last week after he said that Malala Yousefzai did not deserve her Nobel Peace Prize. Following which the spiritual leader received flak. One of the people who took a jab at him on Twitter was Mrs. Funny Bones author Twinkle Khanna.
However, the newspaper columnist’s joke did not go well with arduous followers of Sri Sri who attacked her on the micro-blogging site and threatened to boycott her husband Akshay Kumar’s upcoming movie Housefull 3. She deleted the tweet. and apologized for the joke.
Here’s Khanna’s tweet that started it all:
This elicited a strong response from Darshak Hathi, the International Director of AOL who tweeted, “Error of Judgement or Fear of #BoycottHousefull3. Anyway Being Old & Being wise is different thing.” However, he soon deleted the tweet.
Twinkle Khanna was quick to reply with:
