Samsung Galaxy J3 (6) launched in India today at Rs 8,990

Samsung and Xiaomi have launched their new smartphones – Galaxy J3 (6) and Mi 5 respectively in India, today.

# Samsung Galaxy J3 (6)

The mid-range smartphone has been priced at Rs. 8,990 and will be available in India exclusively via Snapdeal from today.

Display : 5″ Super AMOLED (1280 x 720 pixels)

Android OS: Lollipop 5.1 with the customized TouchWiz UI overlaid.

Processor: Quad core 1.5 GHz Cortex A53

RAM: 1.5 GB

Battery : 2,600 mAh

Memory: Internal- 16GB
External: Expandable upto 128 GB (MicroSD)

Connectivity: 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and Micro-USB.

Rear camera: 8MP with LED flash and autofocus

According to Samsung, the highlight of the J3 (6) handset is the S Bike Mode. Once enabled, it automatically replies to calls with pre-recorded messages in 14 languages. It works like a ‘Do Not Disturb’ feature that prevents unwanted distractions while riding a bike. In case of an emergency, however, the caller can press 1 to force the call to connect. Riders can also mark a few contacts as important, so that they can be notified.

After having a successful run with the Mi4 and Redmi phones, Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has launched the highly anticipated Mi 5 priced at Rs. 24,999.
