Strong winds lead to an accident on Bandra-Worli sealink, one injured
On Monday evening, a passenger was injured after two cars collided with each other on the southbound lane of the Bandra-Worli sealink.
The incident occurred around 6 pm on Monday evening, when two private vehicles dashed into each other. One of the two cars was a white colored Honda City (MH 04 DR 3077), while the other was a Volkswagen Polo (DL 3C CK 7681).
The Polo overturned during the accident, causing a female passenger to get injured. She was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital.
According to preliminary reports, strong winds and rains caused the cars to sway and cross paths, resulting in the accident.
Traffic police was alerted about the incident and is currently on spot. As of 6:50 pm, the cars are still on the sealink.
The accident has not had a major impact on the flow of traffic on the sealink.
