Traffic Advisory: Neelkanth bridge in Vidyavihar shut, traffic police shares alternate routes
Following the closure of Neelkanth Nalla bridge at Vidyavihar for the next five months, Mumbai Traffic Police have issued an advisory for motorists detailing alternative routes.
The BMC shut the Neelkanth bridge earlier this week after an audit found it ‘dangerous’ for vehicular traffic. Its closure is expected to severely affect the movement of traffic between Kurla and Vidyavihar.
While repair work is underway, there will be a no-entry for vehicles on Pipeline Road between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) and Vidyavihar railway station till November 16.
However, motorists can opt for the below mentioned alternate routes during the bridge’s closure.
Diversion for traffic moving from LTT to Vidyavihar station: Pipeline Road – Janardan Krishna Karmalkar Road – Sahakar Nagar Junction – MG road – Road Number 7 – Pipeline Road.
