Pratyusha Suicide: Lawyer quits case, claims Rahul Singh hid facts from him
In a recent development in Pratyusha Banerjee’s suicide case, the lawyer of Rahul Raj Singh – boyfriend and live-in partner of the actress – has refused to represent him in the case any further.
Singh, an aspiring television producer, was booked by the police yesterday for abetment of suicide under Sections 306, 504, 506, 303 of the IPC.
Advocate Neeraj Gupta quit the case claiming that his client was hiding from him some really crucial information related to the case.
Yesterday Gupta had stated that he will approach the court only after going through complaint filed by Pratyusha’s mother Soma Banerjee.
Pratyusha’s mother, in her FIR, has claimed that Rahul used to beat up her daughter and subjected her to mental and physical torture due to which she took the extreme step. Even those who had seen the actress’s body claimed that there were injury marks on her face.
The 24-year-old who rose to fame by playing the character of Anandi in TV serial Balika Vadhu was found hanging from the ceiling fan at her residence in Goregaon on April 1.
