Police arrest 4 men who were hired to kill Chhota Rajan in jail

1. Delhi Police have arrested 4 men who were allegedly hired by Dawood Ibrahim’s confidant Chhota Shakeel to kill jailed underworld don Chhota Rajan.
2. According to an Indian Express report, the accused – Roger Robinson, Junaid, Yunus and Manish – were arrested four days ago and produced before a city court Thursday. The court granted judicial custody and the four were sent to Tihar jail, same as Chhota Rajan.
3. A source informed the leading daily that the accused were apprehended after their conversation with Chhota Shakeel surfaced. The accused were given money to procure weapons and were directed to kill Rajan while he was being transported to or from the jail.
4. After their arrest, cops managed to recover a 9 mm pistol, two dozen live cartridges and Rs 40,000 from them. Their mobile phones have also been recovered and sent to Forensic lab for testing.
5. After being on the run for over two decades, Rajan was arrested in Bali last year and deported to India. The police were aware of a conspiracy to kill Rajan after a Tihar jail constable received a message threatening the ‘end of Rajan’ a few weeks back.
