Deepika asked for a ‘meaningful’ role before signing film with Salman Khan

While the news of Salman Khan romancing Deepika Padukone in Kabir Khan’s upcoming movie ‘Majhdaar’ sent their fans in frenzy, very few know that the B-Town beauty had put forth certain conditions before giving a nod for the film.

Over the last two years, Deepika has given back-to-back hits and proven her worth at the Box Office. Now that’s she’s a part of the Bollywood elite and amongst the top paid actors of the country, she can choose to be picky and do the roles that appeal to her.

Considering Salman’s larger than life persona and fan base, his movies often revolve around his character and leave very little for his leading ladies. So, before signing the movie, the leggy lass asked the director to assure him of a meaningful role. Needless to say, the director was happy to oblige.

In the past too, the Piku actress has maintained a strictly professional relationship with her directors and never accepted a movie purely on the basis of the film’s hero.

At present, Deepika is busy with her Hollywood debut film ‘xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage’ opposite Vin Diesel.
