1. Earlier, we had reported how Mika Singh, who is a permanent member of Comedy Nights Live, choose to appear on rival Kapil Sharma’s show to promote his upcoming songs.
2. Mika’s decision didn’t go down well with the channel, who has already sent a notice to the producers of Kapil’s show and asked them to refrain from airing the episode featuring Mika. The other guests on the episode featuring Mika were West Indies’ cricketer Chris Gayle and singer Kanika Kapoor.
3. Comedy Nights Live host, Krushna Abhishek, was also unhappy with Mika’s decision. While talking to India Today Online, Krushna said, “Yes, I’m upset with Mika. He shouldn’t have gone to The Kapil Sharma Show. They are playing games with us, but games won’t work, content will”. He further added, “Mika is like a child. But it was a wrong decision on his part to shoot for a rival show. He loves me, I know, but he took a wrong decision by shooting with Kapil.”
4. Meanwhile, the makers of CNL are planning on sending a legal notice to Mika and are contemplating on replacing the singer. A source confirmed to TOI that the makers have called for a final meeting with Mika to decide his fate on the show.
5. But, the controversy surrounding his appearance on Kapil’s show hasn’t fazed Mika. While talking to IANS, the singer was quoted saying, “You all know that I am Kapil’s brother. I am a big fan of his show and his timing as well. I have met him after a long time because three-four songs of mine have been launched. And the best way to promote the songs is through the best show–The Kapil Sharma Show”.
