Local Press Co Snippet
1. In case you haven’t yet watched the second episode of season six of Game of Thrones, let us warn you that this post is dark and full of spoilers!
2. Ever since the finale of the fifth season, the GoT fan base had been abuzz speculating and theorizing if and how Jon Snow will be revived.
3. Most of these questions were answered as the latest episode saw our beloved Commander of the Night’s Watch coming back to life because of Melisandre’s dark magic. The reveal was a well-kept secret by everyone involved in making of the show, especially Kit Harrington, who plays Jon Snow.
4. Prior to the release of Sunday’s episode, the actor had been hammered by fans and media alike on the status of Jon Snow but he claimed several times that Ned Stark’s bastard was indeed dead. Post the latest episode, Harrington apologized and said in an interview, “I’d like to say sorry for lying to everyone. I’m glad that people were upset that he died. I think my biggest fear was that people were not going to care. Or it would just be, ‘Fine, Jon Snow’s dead.’ But it seems like people had a similar to the Red Wedding episode, kind of grief about it. Which means something I’m doing — or the show is doing — is right”
5. Now that the Lord Commander is back, we can now put all of this behind us and look forward to the impact his return will have on the show’s storyline.
