The emotionally stirring trailer filmmaker Karan Johar’s highly awaited film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ released on Friday.
The trailer of the film, which stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Fawad Khan and Anushka Sharma, gave a sneak peak about love, friendship and heartbreak.
The over two-minute-long trailer begins with a close-up of Ranbir Kapoor, declaring, ‘Love tedha hai’. A beautiful friendship with Anushka Sharma follows. The actor’s chemistry with Aishwarya is the highlight of the trailer.
The background score of ‘Bulleya’ enchants throughout the trailer. Another track ‘Cutiepie’ also features in the trailer.
The trailer concludes with a strong, but beautiful dialogue mouthed by Ranbir: “Ajeeb kahani hai pyaar aur dosti ki…pyaar humara hero, dosti humari heroine.”
The film, shot in Delhi, New York, London and Paris.
The trailer, which runs high on emotions, has received a positive response on social media and garnered over one lakh views as of writing this article.
Prior to the trailer’s release, the entire cast of ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ took to social media to create buzz about the impending release.
Ranbir Kapoor, who is not on social media himself, posted a message from the film’s official account saying, “Baby Jo. Rk here. Trailer ka time toh bata sabko. @karanjohar.”
To which, Karan Johar replied, “RK!!! Will tell the time when you get officially onto this amazing platform called @TwitterIndia.”
‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ will compete the Ajay Devgn’s upcoming directorial ‘Shivaay’, which is also set for a Diwali (October 28) release.
While both films belong to completely different genres, trade analysts predict that they will eat into each other’s first weekend business irrespective of whichever one comes out on top in the long run.
