Fadnavis orders judicial inquiry into Bhima-Koregaon incident, offers Rs 10 lakh to kin of deceased
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday ordered a judicial enquiry, headed by a sitting judge, into the Bhima-Koregaon incident which saw violent clashes between the Dalit and Maratha community.
The CM also ordered a CID inquiry into the death of the deceased youth and offered Rs 10 lakh assistance to his kin.
Further, the CM appealed for peace, saying that Maharashtra does not believe in casteist violence and that strict action will be taken against the all those who are spreading rumours on social media and trying to invoke violence.
