Mumbai Metro launches ‘SecuCare’ app for safe commuting
Reliance Infrastructure-backed Mumbai Metro One on Thursday launched its first mobile security product, SecuCare app, to enhance the safety of women, children, senior citizens and differently-abled commuters.
With the app, commuters can click pictures and videos and send them directly to the main control room in DN Nagar along with their location. The control centre team will then take the necessary action based on the situation, including calling the commuter.
The 11.4 km Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar metro already has baggage scanners, 700 security cameras, and plainclothed security personnel to keep its premises secure.
