Sion highway blocked by Dalit protestors, hotel vandalised

Despite heavy police presence in the area, Dalit protestors managed to bring north-bound traffic to a halt near Sion by blocking one side of the highway.
The blockade affected traffic moving towards Bandra, Chunabhatti, Navi Mumbai and Thane.
The protestors also allegedly vandalised Shabri hotel located along the highway.
