At least three persons were injured in a mishap involving a cement mixer truck in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) area early Tuesday morning.

The incident took place around 7:30 am today when the truck was travelling on the road opposite the NSE Building in G Block, BKC

According to preliminary information, the truck driver was overspeeding when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to hit the footpath and overturn on the road.

At least three persons – including the truck driver, cleaner and a female jogger – were injured in the mishap. The jogger was walking on the footpath when she was hit by the truck.

Officials arrived on the spot minutes after the accident and rushed all injured persons to a nearby hospital for treatment.

While the driver sustained minor injuries, the cleaner was left with a fractured hand. The condition of the jogger is not known as of publishing this report.
