3 youths arrested for assaulting Juhu airport’s security guards

1. The Santacruz police have arrested three members from a gang of five for allegedly attacking the security guards of Juhu aerodrome.
2. The incident happened in the wee hours of Saturday, when the accused entered the airport premises by breaking the boundary wall and assaulted guards Anil Nalawade (38) and Sadashiv Bugade (58), who were on duty at the watch tower.
3. The arrested accused have been identified as Vijay Devendra (19) Surya Devendra (19) and Shiva Devendra (22). All the five accused were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
4. During the investigation, the police found out about one of the culprits, who then led them to two others. The three youths were caught from their residences in Nehru Nagar. The other two gang members are still absconding and the cops have launched a manhunt to nab them.
5. Vijay, Surya and Shiva were booked under sections 394, 34 and 447 for voluntarily causing hurt and criminal trespassing of the Indian Penal Code. According to the police, such cases of trespassing by locals are frequent.
