1. In a tragic accident on Monday night, a man lost his life after a BMC dumper driver ran over him.
2. According to information received by police officials, the person was crossing the road opposite Carnival cinemas on Western Express Highway when a dumper knocked him down.
3. Since the dumper ran over his body, he succumbed to his injuries on the spot. The driver fled the scene immediately after the accident and passersby later informed the police about the incident.
4. The police, after gathering the necessary evidence, sent the body for postmortem at a nearby hospital.
5. Two days after the accident, the person is yet to be identified as cops couldn’t retrieve any identification card from him. The police is still on the lookout for the absconding dumper driver.
