Fire breaks out at Crompton Greaves factory in Kanjurmarg
A fire broke out at the Crompton Greaves factory in Kanjurmarg during the wee hours of Sunday. The factory is located in Datar Colony in Kanjurmarg East.
The fire was reported around midnight on Sunday. Within minutes, seven fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
According to sources, the fire is confined to a 3000 sq.ft area, housing a transformer, furniture and some I.T equipment.
As of 3 am, firefighting is still underway and no casualties have been reported.

Founded in 1878, Crompton Greaves is an Indian multinational company engaged in design, manufacturing, and marketing of products related to power generation, transmission, and distribution based in Mumbai. It is part of Avantha Group.
The incident occurred barely three days after Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis told the state assembly that 6,512 buildings across Mumbai and its suburbs will be subjected to fire audit by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
In a similar incident, a shop in Lamington Road was gutted in fire on Friday.
Update: Fire was brought under control around 3:30 am. No casualties have been reported. Cause of fire is still unknown.
