Fire breaks out at Lighthall building in Hiranandani Business Park on Saki Vihar Road, Andheri

A massive fire broke out in the basement of a commercial building in Hiranandani Business Park in Mumbai’s Andheri area on Sunday afternoon.
Details:
Location: According to an official from the fire department, the blaze broke out in the premises of Net Magic Service Pvt. Ltd. at Lighthall building located in Hiranandani Business Park on Saki Vihar Road near Chandivali Junction in Andheri East.
Time: The mishap took place around 12:15 pm today, and fire department was alerted immediately after.

Severity: Fire officials reached the spot at 12:32 pm, following which the blaze was escalated to a Level II call. At 12:48 pm, the fire was escalated to Level III.
Cause of fire: The cause of fire is not known as an update from the fire officials is awaited.
Casualties & damage: While no casualties were reported in the mishap, some property damage is estimated.

Current status: At least eight fire tenders, five jumbo water tankers, one water tanker, one quick response vehicle are on the spot and working on dousing the flames. An ambulance is also on standby.
The fire is confined to the basement and further details are awaited.

The incident comes less than two days after back to back fires were reported in Mumbai. The mishaps took place at a commercial building in Sakinaka, Andheri and a garment godown in Kalbadevi. Both did not result in any casualties.
In a separate incident, a car had caught fire opposite Viviana Mall on the Eastern Express Highway in Thane last night.
