Men who robbed Rs 14 lakh from Hindustan Lever’s Andheri godown arrested
Sleuths of Mumbai Crime Branch yesterday arrested a gang of five robbers who had broken into Hindustan Lever’s godown in Andheri on April 10, and made away with cash amounting to Rs 14 lakh.
The men entered into the facility at night by breaking the shutter’s lock. When the watchman tried to stop them, they threatened him at gunpoint, tied him to a chair, and subsequently made away with the booty.
During the investigation, it was found history sheeter Ashok Naik and his gang were behind the crime. The police arrested Naik and his four accomplices yesterday.
Naik, who was lodged in jail, had come out just four months ago.
