Parts of South Mumbai along with most of Western suburbs will face a partial water cut tomorrow, January 31, as Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) plans to carry out work at pumping station at Bhandup Complex.

The civic body will carry out the work on the proposed 1200 mm diameter Butterfly valve at pumping station at Bhandup Complex.

The work will start at 9 am and is expected to complete by 9 pm on the same day.

During the 12 hour period, the water supply to Mumbai city will be curtailed.

Areas from Colaba to Mahim (Wards A, C, D, G/South, G/North) will face a 20 percent water cut. In addition, the Western suburb from Bandra to Dahisar will also face a 20 percent cut.

Meanwhile, the civic body has requested citizens to store sufficient amount of water in advance and co-operate with the administration.
