Game of Thrones makers to sue PornHub

1. American premium cable and satellite television network, HBO, may soon take a legal action against one of the biggest adult website’s on the internet – PornHub.
2. The network is considering taking legal action citing breach of copyright, as sex scenes from HBO’s popular fantasy drama ‘Game of Thrones’ were allegedly copied by the adult website. HBO’s show features many graphic scenes containing nudity involving its lead actors.
3. According to HBO, several scenes which depict extreme nudity, sex and violence appeared on the pornographic website. Moreover, the website also featured a parody of the show named ‘Game of Bones’ wherein the pornstars imitated popular characters such as Lord Varys, Cersei Lannister and Daenerys Targaryen.
4. While speaking to a UK-based tabloid HBO spokesperson was quoted saying, “HBO is aware of the issue and is in the process of getting material taken down from PornHub.”
5. Interestingly, after the first show of Game of Thrones Season 6 aired last month, daily online porn viewership recorded a dip of about 4 percent.
