India’s fastest: Gatimaan Express zooms out from Delhi to Agra at 160 kmph
India’s fastest train, Gatimaan Express, was flagged off earlier today from Delhi’s Hazrat Nizamuddin station by Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu.
The new train, with a top speed of 160 km per hour, will cover 184 kilometers between Delhi’s Hazrat Nizamuddin station and Agra Cantonment station in just 100 minutes. Other trains on an average take about 2-3 hours to cover the same distance.
Speed, however, isn’t the only highlight of this train. The train will have two types of coaches – executive chair coaches car and AC chair car coaches. Another edition to India’s fastest train is provision for WiFi and a special menu for its passengers.
The train will run six days a week except Friday, when the Taj Mahal is closed.
