Mumbai bound flight delayed over a bomb hoax
On Wednesday morning, Airport Authorities stopped a Mumbai-bound Jet Airways flight at Ahmedabad airport over a bomb scare.
Authorities stepped in after the cabin cleaner informed them about finding a piece of paper with the word ‘BOMB’ written on it. The cleaner had picked up the paper from under Seat 24A of the flight.
The plane was immediately evacuated and taken to the isolation bay. The authorities searched the plane thoroughly, but couldn’t find anything suspicious.
Around 10:15 AM, Jet Airways issued a statement that read, “Aircraft was thoroughly inspected by security agencies and flight with 125 passengers and 6 crew has now been cleared for departure.”
