Sri Sri Ravi Shankar asks ISIS for peace, gets picture of beheaded man in return
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s attempt at opening a peace dialogue with the Islamic State came to a grinding halt when the latter sent him a picture of a beheaded man.
During his visit to the nation’s northeast region, the spiritual guru urged militant groups to hold peace talks with the government. Among them, was Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
But Sri Sri’s plan of a peace dialogue came to an abrupt end when the group responded to his message by sending a picture of a beheaded man.
In response, the Art of Living founder said, “I tried to initiate peace talks with the ISIS recently but they sent me a photograph of a beheaded body of a man. Thus, my effort for a peace dialogue with the ISIS ended.”
After the group rejected his proposal, Sri Sri also said that since the group doesn’t want to talk peace, they should be dealt with militarily.
