Video: Man waves black flag at Kanhaiya Kumar in Patna, gets beaten by his supporters
A man was beaten by the supporters of Kanhaiya Kumar after he waved a black flag at the JNU student president during his speech in Patna on Sunday.
Kumar, who hails from Begusarai district of Bihar, is on two day tour of his home state. Upon his arrival in Patna, he told reporters, “I am not here to attend a political meeting. I am here to reach out to people with my thoughts. People of Bihar will understand what I want and where I stand.”
Kumar was addressing a meeting in Patna on Sunday, when an unidentified man from the crowd waved a black flag at him. Immediately after, Kumar’s supporters surrounded him and starting hitting the man. After beating him, he was forced out of the venue.
As of now, the man’s identity and his reason for waving the flag at Kumar are both unknown. In the meanwhile, Patna police have detained two men who showed black flag during the speech.

Earlier this week, Kumar claimed that he was on the receiving end of hostile behaviour while he was flying from Mumbai to Pune.
