1. One of the many bizarre shows on prime time Indian television, Sasural Simar Ka, is known for its outlandish and unoriginal plotlines.
2. Just last month, the show blatantly copied from popular epic fantasy Game of Thrones. The latter’s House of Faces emulated into ‘Chehro ka Ghar’ on the saas-bahu drama.
3. This time around the show’s writers seem to have been ‘inspired’ by Baahubali director SS Rajamouli’s movie ‘Eega’. The 2012 movie titled ‘Makkhi’ in Hindi, sees a man reincarnated as a housefly and trying to protect his lover while seeking revenge from his killers.
4. Now, the Sasural Simar Ka’s storyline will see the protagonist, Simar, going into a forest to fetch a magical pearl and unknowingly waking up a sage from his prayer. The agitated sage will then turn her into a fly.
