Salman Khan takes a pay cut for hosting Bigg Boss 10
Actor Salman Khan, who is by far the highest paid actor on television, is reportedly taking a pay cut for hosting the upcoming season of reality show Bigg Boss.
In the past, the ‘Sultan’ has tried quitting the show multiple times. However, due to his popularity and association with the show, Bigg Boss become a money maker for the channel, which responded by hiking his fees for every following season.
The ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ actor was allegedly paid a whopping seven to eight crore per episode for hosting Season 9.
This time however, according to a leading Bollywood portal, the actor has asked the higher-ups at Colors TV to cut his fee and instead put a sizable chunk of the money in the Being Human trust. Being Human is a registered charitable trust setup by the actor for helping the underprivileged.
A source to the actor told Bollywood Life, “Salman has always hiked his fee for Bigg Boss, but this time he will be taking a pay cut. He wants Colors to put a chunk of money into Being Human”.
The actor will begin shooting for Bigg Boss Season 10 after the release of his upcoming sports drama ‘Sultan’. Post that, he is scheduled to begin shooting for his next with Kabir Khan, titled ‘Tubelight’.
