Imtiaz Ali signs SRK for his next
Imtiaz Ali’s penchant for narrating romantic dramas is second to none in Bollywood. So, it comes as no surprise that the director has approached Bollywood’s king of romance for his next.
According to industry sources, Imtiaz has approached Shah Rukh to star in his next project which will have him essaying the role of a sardar on a visit to Europe. Rumours suggest that SRK has already given a go ahead for the movie and Imtiaz is in talks with Anushka Sharma to play the female lead.
The movie, which will be extensively shot in London and Punjab, is also likely to be produced by SRK. A source close to the production also said that Budapest is a possible shoot location and the director will be visiting the city along with a few others on his upcoming trip.
In the past, Bollywood’s numero uno romance director Yash Chopra and SRK have created magic on the silver screen with movies like Darr, DDLJ, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Jab Tak Hai Jaan and more. Now that the legendary director is no more, fans have been longing to see SRK in his romantic avatar.
The movie will go on floors in July and release mid-2017.
