In Pictures: Fire breaks out at Juhu beach, destroys over dozen food stalls

Around 5:45 AM on Friday morning, a massive fire broke out at Juhu beach near the Juhu Police chowky.

Within minutes, several famous eateries located at the entrance of the beach were engulfed in fire. The eateries would serve chat, pav bhaji and other refreshments and were very popular amongst families.

4 fire engines and 4 water tankers were rushed to the spot immediately to control the fire. While the firefighters managed to bring the fire under control, the damage to the eateries was already done.

Over a dozen food stalls were completely destroyed by the fire.

Fortunately, no one was injured and no casualties have been reported till now. The fire department is assessing the cause of fire.
