Drunk BMW driver rams into multiple vehicles near Reay Road, arrested after 4 km chase

A drunk driver rammed his BMW into multiple vehicles near Reay Road, leaving two persons injured, on Saturday night.
The culprit, Mehmood Alam, was driving under the influence of alcohol. He tried to flee the spot after the mishap but was arrested by police after a 4-km long chase between Reay Road and Kidwai Road.
A few other motorists, who saw the carnage caused by the speeding sedan, also tailed the car. After the car was cornered, some of them thrashed the driver before handing him over to the police.
Meanwhile, while several people sustained injuries due to the incident, out of which two were admitted to a hospital for treatment.
“We caught him after chasing for 4 km. He is a driver. The owner of the car left for Dubai yesterday. Two injured have been taken to the hospital. Action will be taken,” a Mumbai police officer told ANI.
The car also suffered damages and the windscreen was completely destroyed.
