Yug Tuli, the co-owner of Mojo’s Bistro, narrowly escaped arrest at the hands of Mumbai police yesterday. Tuli (29) was booked for culpable homicide not amounting to murder after the fire department report said the Kamala Mills blaze started at his pub.

The hotelier has been on the run since Saturday, after learning that cops were in the process of booking him. According to sources, he left for Nagpur first and later drove down to Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad, where his grandparents stay.

However, barely an hour before cops could nab him, Tuli and his new wife Pritina left for Hyderabad airport. The couple was even caught on CCTV while at the airport, but cops could not find any evidence of them leaving the country.

Meanwhile, police have arrested Yug Pathak, the other majority owner of Mojo’s Bistro and are on the lookout for the owners of 1Above, who have been absconding since the incident. All 14 deaths took place at 1Above, although both pubs were violating norms.
